August 11, 2020 Essence Recruitment was presented with the Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon 2020 Community Builder Award. This award honours local partners that are working to promote and support literacy in our city and province.

Essence Recruitment, and owner and founder Tracy Arno, are long-time supporters of READ Saskatoon, and literacy in our community. Tracy has been actively involved with READ Saskatoon, serving as a committee member and volunteer. Beyond her volunteer work with READ Saskatoon, Tracy is also involved in our annual Golf Tournament for Literacy and our LIT UP! gala event.

Tracy’s Thank You Speech:

I am humbled by this award. READ Saskatoon has been near and dear to my heart and to Essence. We believe in their programming and other initiatives for so many reasons. The basics of reading and writing are a necessity and not everyone has access. To have these basic skills means a stronger economy with job growth and the ability to provide a better living for their family. An increase in confidence and personal achievement is equally important.

Thank you READ Saskatoon for this award but it’s your organization that is giving back to the community, I’m just along for the ride.
