Thank you for having us here today, to Kirsten for working with us and to the Lions Club for supporting this award.

Our social worker referred us to READ Saskatoon last year. We wanted to work on our reading and comprehension to improve our options for employment. While we were working with Kirsten, we learned each other strengths and are now able to help each other learn and work towards our goals.

We are reading a lot better. Tristen can now read the items on the cafeteria menus at SK Abilities and we were able to do the research to get our puppy. We like to read novels and one of our favourite things to do is cook so we read recipes together. We make a mean shepherd’s pie!

We are both seeking employment in the community and look forward when we are both in good jobs to support ourselves.
