Give the Gift of Family Fun this Holiday Season

November 14, 2022

Today, Foundations Learning & Skills Saskatchewan launched their second season of Booktivities – a curated collection of western Canadian authors’ books loaded with fun, enriching literacy activities designed to get children and families excited about reading and learning together.

Foundations has created two products – one is designed for infants, toddlers, and children up to Grade 1. The other is designed for children in grades 2-4. Each package includes two books from western Canadian authors (along with a special letter from the featured author), colouring pages, stickers, a craft activity, and more.

“We’re so thrilled to be launching this product today, just in time for the holiday season,” said Sheryl Harrow-Yurach, Executive Director of Foundations. “Booktivities is such a great way for children and families to learn from and celebrate western Canadian authors and participate in some fun learning activities. Literacy skills are the foundation of success, and we are proud to provide an enriching experience for families and children this holiday season.”

Foundations promotes and supports literacy throughout Saskatchewan and Booktivities adds another source of revenue to support our agency’s primary purpose – provide free programming to adults, children, and families.

Booktivities boxes are available starting today and will be on sale until Tuesday, December 20th. With limited quantities available, those looking to order should do so early.
