Maria Carreiro is a Certified Financial Planner with Conexus Credit Union and her passion is helping people understand their own finances. She has been volunteering with READ Saskatoon for a number of years now. Now, she says, “I am a huge supporter of READ Saskatoon and their financial literacy programs.”

Maria brings her expertise about budgeting, goal-setting, and the complexities of credit as one of READ Saskatoon’s financial gurus. She is always available when Tammy Isbister, READ Saskatoon’s Financial Literacy Coordinator, calls with questions.

She also helps deliver READ Saskatoon’s financial workshops, empowering people to make good choices about their financial well-being. Recently, she helped with a parent-teen workshop and another about RESPs for moms at EGADZ. “I’ve been in the banking world for more than 27 years now, yet I learn so much from the people at the workshops. This is what I’ve enjoyed most about it.”
