At Foundations adult learners work with literacy coaches as a team – and it’s free!

If you are 18 years of age or older and want to improve your literacy skills you can become a Foundations learner.

Start by contacting Foundations at (306) 652-5448 or [email protected] to make an appointment with our Adult Program Coordinator to discuss your needs and goals.

Together with our dedicated pool of trained volunteers we help adult learners in many ways:
  • One-to-One Adult Tutoring and Group Tutoring strengthens reading, writing, spelling, comprehension, listening, speaking, and numeracy skills.
  • Family Literacy Programs promote family-centred learning and activities, including Learn & Soar, Parent & Preschooler programs, Criss-Cross Applesauce, The Saskatchewan Odyssey and Payday Playday.
  • Financial Literacy workshops focus on budgeting, banking, credit and debt management, asset building, and spending habits.
Build and strengthen skills needed to reach your personal goals.

Improving your literacy skills often leads to better employment, better parenting and family life, a healthier lifestyle, and improvements in your confidence and self-esteem.
