Strong support continues for Foundations’ Golf Tournament for Literacy
Saskatoon, [June 2, 2023] – Every summer, Foundations Learning & Skills Saskatchewan hosts a golf tournament for literacy. Foundations is very proud to announce the continued support by Lisa and Jim Yuel as presenting sponsors for this August’s tournament.
The Yuels are enthusiastic supporters of Foundations because they believe in the need for free, community learning programs. “We are very pleased to support this important organization,” says Lisa Yuel. “With the help of trained volunteers, they empower people. We are so proud to support their work.”
This fun, themed golf tournament acknowledges the work of dedicated supporters and learners who believe that lifelong learning habits contribute to strong and resilient communities.
Currently, one-third of Saskatchewan adults struggle with literacy daily and one-third of Saskatchewan children show up for kindergarten not ready to learn. For over 40 years, Foundations and its volunteers have worked hard to change these statistics, and they are incredibly grateful for all donations that ensure all members of our communities have free access to skills and learning programming.
